**Complete tie rod assembly including inner and outer tie rods** If your BMW's steering has become loose it can be due to worn out tie rods. The inner tie rod ball joint usually develops play with high mileage. In addition, the outer tie rod ball joint boot car tear allowing water and debris to get inside the joint. High mileage can also cause the ball joint to wear down and develop play. We recommend inspecting tie rods for play and to replace in pairs if play is spotted. We also recommend replacing the steering rack boot.
