Secures the front strut assembly to the chassis, includes strut bearing. Strut mounts are a common wear item on BMW's. This mount secures the top of the strut to the chassis and also acts as a pivot point. With high mileage the strut bearing can become "crunchy" affecting steering performance. In addition the rubber in the mount can crack causing play and other issues. We recommend replacing strut mounts when installing new strut assemblies for the best possible service life and performance.
