**Connects the rear sway bar to the suspension** Sway bar links are an often overlooked component of your BMW's suspension. Sway bar links provide a few different functions. Sway bar links connect the sway bar ends to the suspension and then load the rear sway bar as the suspension moves over the road surfaces. In cornering this "loading" of the sway bar is what helps control and reduce body roll. A common sign of a worn out sway bar link is "clicking sounds" while traveling over bumps at low speeds. Always replace in pairs.
